Beautiful vintage Everlast forged aluminum serving tray with a richly embossed grapevine and leaf design, a softly hammered surface, and sculptural open handles. Its substantial patina, mottling and surface wear give it the wonderfully timeworn character that makes old aluminum giftware so appealing.
Era & History: Everlast Metal Products Corporation was founded in New York in 1932 and introduced its decorative “Forged Giftware” line in 1933. Everlast became nationally known for decorative aluminum giftware, using changing handle styles and motifs to refresh familiar forms. The company’s forged aluminum trays are especially associated with the 1930s through 1950s; comparable Everlast pieces with similar marks are documented from the late 1940s and early 1950s. Based on the maker’s mark, form and grapevine decoration, this tray appears consistent with Everlast’s mid-century production, likely circa 1940s–1950s.
