Vintage Hand-Carved Wood Woman in Prayer – Folk Art Figurine

Petite vintage hand-carved wood figurine of a woman in prayer, with folded hands, a serene simplified face and visible carving marks. At just over four inches tall, she has the quiet presence of a small folk-art devotional object rather than a formal religious statue.

Materials & Details: Carved wood; woman with hands folded in prayer; warm natural wood tone; freestanding
Style: Folk art / primitive / rustic devotional sculpture

Why folk art? Folk-art carving often favors direct, simplified forms over academic realism, allowing tool marks, unevenness and the character of the material to remain visible. Those qualities are part of this little figure's appeal—the carving feels personal rather than factory-perfect.
