Vintage Pewter Daily Bread Tray – Italian Lord’s Prayer Inscription

The softly aged gray surface and agricultural relief give it the feel of an old European farmhouse piece, while the wording connects the everyday act of serving bread with Christian prayer.

Where the words come from: The phrase is the Italian form of “Give us this day our daily bread,” one of the best-known lines of the Lord’s Prayer. Paired with the wheat-harvest scene, it turns an ordinary bread tray into a small piece of devotional tableware—food, harvest and gratitude all wrapped into one object.
